Marc has 35+ years of experience in the Alternative Risk Financing industry and currently serves as a Captive Consultant under his company Procedant Group, LLC. He specializes in finding creative solutions using alternative risk financing strategies across all lines of coverage. Marc is well-regarded by his colleagues and industry professionals for his creativity, exceptional leadership skills, and work ethic.

Prior, Marc Served as the Chief Products Officer at Breckpoint, a leading alternative risk financing organization. Breckpoint was part of a re-branding of FreedomCare Benefits after being purchased by Acrisure, one of the top 10 insurance brokerages in the USA. FreedomCare Benefits was founded in 2013 as a full-service group benefits administration form specialization in self-funded health plans. FreedomCare grew to become a leader in the industry, supporting a variety of group benefit plans targeted at self-insured employers

  • Acted as a key consultant and co-author to South Dakota in developing their amended captive legislation.
  • Founded Captive Insurance Solutions (CIS) in 2000. After successful growth, CIS was acquired by USA Risk Group, 5th largest captive manager in the world, in 2004. Served as an EVP for USA Risk 2004-2013.
  • Founder and ex-President of the Arizona Captive Insurance Association.
  • Winner of the Crystal Cactus award for excellence in contributing to the captive insurance industry.
  • Authored and successfully lobbied the State of Arizona’s House of Representatives Bill, which led to Arizona
    as a captive domicile.
  • Acted a key consultant to Guam Economic Development Authority in developing Guam’s captive legislation.
  • Developed CaptiveGuru.com, an industry specific educational website.
  • 1986-2000 worked in Vermont/Hawaii for Marsh and AON respectively, as a captive manager and consultant.
  • Has acted as an Expert Witness on Captive Insurance

Luc has 6+ years of experience in the captive insurance industry and is currently working to create a new automated captive product with Procedant Group. Luc’s specialization is in using technology in the alternative insurance market and creating captive programs using innovative techniques.

Luc worked at Breckpoint as the intake specialist between 2021-2023. The role of this title was to do pre-underwrite vetting before submission to the carrier. Breckpoint is part of the Acrisure umbrella and created exclusive programs for Acrisure partners. The programs included transportation, construction, healthcare, and heterogeneous industries alike. Luc has been able to use his experience at Procedant, insureCap, and Breckpoint as a captive consultant to help all like-minded business owners find the best captive program for them based on their historical data and captive readiness.
